The location is part of The Station strip mall located in the Vinings community. It houses an array of restaurants and retailers and is easily accessible from two of the city’s most traveled thoroughfares, Interstate 285 and Interstate 75.

Astarita is no stranger to the Atlanta food scene. The chef is owner of Grazie Hospitality Group and co-owner of Publik Draft House, Baraonda Ristorante and Bar and former restaurant Villaggio Gastro Italian.

Located in the Fox Theatre, Publik Draft House has been ranked one of Atlanta’s top bourbon bars by Zagat and serves upscale pub fare, creative cocktails, craft beer and wine.

For more than two decades, Baraonda was a Midtown fixture at 710 Peachtree St. NE, but it closed its doors earlier this year. At the time, plans were announced for it to reopen at 6075 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, but no further updates on the new location have been made available.

Villaggio Gastro Italian was located at 1355 Clairmont Rd. in Decatur but is now permanently closed.

What Now Atlanta reached out to Astarita for more information on Metropizza. He had not responded at the time of publication.
