A permit was filed Tuesday to convert a former warehouse into the new store.
Atlanta Barber and Beauty Supply is moving to a new location in Atlanta.
According to a permit filed this week with the City of Atlanta, a former warehouse at 1376 Collier Road is being converted into a showroom with more than 8,000 square feet of retail space for the new Atlanta Barber and Beauty Supply.
Construction is expected to cost $474,000.
The original store is located on Mitchell Street near the Georgia State Capitol. Owner Russell Garner said he hopes to move to the new location by early spring.
Atlanta Barber and Beauty Supply has been operating since 1946, according to its website. The company sells a wide selection of beauty products, such as clippers, shampoo bowls and hair dryers.

I wonder if this is a move because the center they are in now is going to get torn down for development.
The parking situation they have now is great – don’t really have to compete with anyone and you can park right there. Now people will have to navigate through decks, which can be a hassle if they are trying to make a class on time.

Already very busy fitness location in Atlanta. A nice, new and updated studio will be awesome.
