ASW Rickhouse would join includes Monday Night Brewing, Wild Heaven, and Honeysuckle Gelato in the West End development.
Atlanta-based ASW Distillery has submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI) to launch a barrelhouse in the forthcoming Lee + White development, Chad Ralston, head of growth and grassroots for the whiskey distillery, Wednesday told What Now Atlanta in an email.
Called ASW Rickhouse, the new concept would join local breweries Monday Night Brewing and Wild Heaven as well as local brands like Honeysuckle Gelato and Doux South Pickles on the BeltLine in Atlanta’s West End neighborhood.
“In less than a year, ASW Distillery has nearly filled its Armour Drive facility with barrels of whiskey and brandy, while simultaneously seeing runaway success with their Fiddler Bourbon and Resurgens Rye brands,” Ralston said.
“[Our] storage needs and the enthusiasm of the Atlanta community for what [we’re] doing prompted [us] to begin the search for more space at the beginning of this year.”
The news of ASW Rickhouse comes days after Georgia Governor Deal and Georgia Legislature “modernizing” craft beverage laws for the state.
ASW will begin to buildout dunnage racks for storage of over 1000 barrels for ASW Rickhouse later this year.
A timeline for the opening is not yet known.
ASW this spring is also set to release “Atlanta’s first straight bourbon to hit shelves since Prohibition” and the release of the “United States’ first double malt, a rich, flavorful and wholly unique whiskey…”
