Asante Closes Downtown, New Location Underway In Midtown

Celebrity chef to bring coastal Caribbean flavor to Midtown.

Restaurant is under construction in the neighborhood.

Asante has shuttered in Downtown Atlanta, but a new location is “literally under construction,” per the restaurant’s website.

No address for the new location has been provided, but Eater reports that the restaurant will occupy a space in Midtown.

The buildout will be taking place over the summer.

Asante operated out of a space at 250 Park Ave W NW in the Luckie Marietta District since opening in December of 2014.

Chef Marvin Woods is an Emmy Award-nominated television host, cookbook author and restauranteur who has been praised by the likes of Oprah and cooked for First Lady Michelle Obama.
