Bella Amour Chocolates is planned for a space at Municipal Market.

“We’re excited to get started,” owner Courtney Jones said.

Bella Amour Chocolates offers truffles, bonbons, brownies and more. Everything is made from scratch in-house, Jones said. A top-selling confection: the turtles, which are shaped like actual turtles. Other items include chocolate-dipped pretzel rods and caramel apples.

Municipal Market is an indoor market comprised of independent eateries and retail vendors, including produce, meat, seafood and local restaurants.

It began in 1918 as an open-air market, blossoming at the site of the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917. The Atlanta Women’s Club launched a fundraising effort for a more permanent structure for the market, which opened in 1924. The site was commonly referred to as Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

The upcoming location of Bella Amour Chocolates at Municipal Market is still in the early stages. Until it’s open, those with a sweet tooth can shop the treats online or follow on Instagram @bellaamourchocolates.
