Sugaring NYC was started by Daria Nartova, who moved from Europe to the U.S. in 2013 where she used sugar paste to perform waxing treatments, which were popular in her native country. Sugaring is believed to be better for the skin and less painful than standard waxing methods. Nartova opened the first Sugaring NYC in Manhattan in 2014 using organic wax is made from sugar, water, and lemon juice. In addition to their sugaring services, Sugaring NYC also offers lash lifts, V-facials, and brow lamination. Sugaring NYC’s first four locations were in Manhattan. They expanded and opened nine more in New York, Massaschuttes, and Illinois and grew even larger after they started franchsing in 2017.
