The retail portion of the soon-to-be Braves’ stadium will be called The Battery Atlanta and feature 250,000 square feet of retail space for 40 total tenants.

After the news conference, the Atlanta Braves released a statement with further details regarding the development.

“We believe that The Battery Atlanta will be the preeminent sports, lifestyle and entertainment destination in America,” Terry McGuirk, chairman and CEO of the Braves, said in a statement.

“This development will bring an energy to the area that will provide our guests with top-notch shopping, dining and living options.”

Fox Bros. BBQ will be served at Tomahawk Taproom just outside the park. The barbecue will also be served inside the stadium.

Ford Fry‘s Superica and Giovanni DiPalma‘s Antico Pizza will also headline the development with locations in the mixed-use development, along with CRU Food and Wine Bar.

Chef Linton Hopkins of H&F Burgers will also be opening his first, yet-to-be-named steakhouse in the development.

The stadium and surrounding mixed-use development plans to open in April 2017.
