The store will reportedly be doing an extensive build-out with new plumbing, electrical, mechanical, partitions, doors, and more.

Savi Provisions Founder Paul Nair said he just filed the permits this week but was hoping to open by the fall.

“That might be a little ambitious,” he admitted.

Savi Provisions will open in Buckhead later this summer. Franchisee Vivek Patel will be heading this one.

A neighborhood destination for locally-sourced gourmet and organic foods, fine wines, and spirits, Savi Provisions describes itself as the nostalgic purveyor of once-forgotten generations. It aims to provide a high-end and gourmet, wholesome and healthy food and market experience combined with Atlanta’s need for convenience within their neighborhoods.

Nair said the new location is poised to be even more of a high-end grocery featuring a lot of local and regional produce.

“At 5,000 square feet it will be bigger than a typical layout,” he added. “We want to expand our offering and groceries and will have an outdoor patio and mezzanine seating.”

Heading for West Midtown Atlanta Savi Provisions appears to be heading for Star Metals, a mixed-use project.

Nair said he is seeking a beer and wine license as well as a specialty food license.

  1. Isn’t there going to be a Publix in the complex. I’m surprised this was not done further West towards Marietta Blvd. This is a short term low hanging fruit…..

    1. The Publix is a part of phase 2 of the interlock which will be on Northside Dr. The two stores will likely have a vastly different product mix.

  2. Howell Mill isn’t part of Home Park it’s the Marietta Street Artery neighborhood. Home park is east of Northside Drive.

    1. Home Park resident here. Home Park does extend to Howell Mill westward to Brady ave. Star Metals, the Interlock, and White Provisions are all within the Home Park neighborhood.

      1. Unfortunately this is incorrect Richard. In November 2016 the Home Park Community Improvement Association Board voted to amend the neighborhood boundaries. Northside Drive was voted to be the western boundary of Home Park, assigning the area to the west of Northside Drive to the Marietta Street Artery Association. Marietta Street Artery Association had previously voted to modify its boundaries to match up with these changes to Home Park.
