Parker’s Kitchen is planned for 4099 Jimmie Dyess Parkway in Augusta, according to construction documents. A Valero convenience store with a Dairy Queen was formerly located at the site.

Parker’s Kitchen offers grab-and-go food and beverages, as well as a hot bar serving Southern-inspired breakfast items like eggs, grits and biscuits; chicken tenders and sandwiches; and sides and savory snacks like fried okra and mac and cheese. Parker’s also offers beverages like coffee, sweet tea, lemonade and their signature chewy ice.

Now headquartered in Savannah, the first Parker’s store opened in Midway, Georgia, in 1976. There are now about 90 locations throughout coastal Georgia and South Carolina.

There are several other Parker’s Kitchen locations in the works in the Peach State, including in Bloomingdale and another in Augusta.

The Columbia County Planning Commission voted in favor of plans for the upcoming Jimmie Dyess Parkway location in June 2024. A variance request sought permission to operate the store for 24 hours.

The new store would be nearly 5,000 square feet, according to construction plans. Construction bids will be accepted until Oct. 29, 2024.
