Amir’s Parlor will be situated in suite F-110 replacing the now-shuttered Cupcake People, at 1245 Caroline Street.

Inspired by Ayanwale’s time in Jackson, Mississippi and named for his 3-month-old son, Amir’s Parlor will serve ice cream, shaved ice, flavored pickles, milkshakes, and slushies, and is expected to open in early-August.

“I went to school in Jackson, Mississipi, and shaved ice mixed with ice cream is big down there,” Ayanwale Tuesday told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview.

“Amir’s Parlor will offer something new and delightful to the City and Edgewood area.”

The small, 533-square-foot space will boast a “bright, modern-feel while still giving guests that old-fashioned ice cream parlor look.”

Seating will be available outside on the patio.

A flatscreen will display the menu inside which includes 20 ice cream flavors on rotation and 48+ shaved ice options (and up to 62 pre-determined flavor combos.)

At least 10 toppings—everything from snickers to gummy bears to fudge—will be available in addition to waffle and sugar cones.

Flavored pickles, displayed in glass jars, will come in at least five flavor profiles.

“Atlantans are really going to enjoy the flavored pickles.”
