Restaurant files plans to open at Buckhead Atlanta.
Although the city’s newest mega mixed-use development Buckhead Atlanta officially opened to the public late September, several of the project’s restaurant and retail tenants are far from serving guests and ringing cash registers.
LDV Hospitality, the parent company of New York-based steakhouse American Cut, submitted a building permit application to City of Atlanta early October for commercial alterations to the restaurant’s first Atlanta location.
American Cut was originally announced to open its Buckhead location in September, according to the steakhouse’s landlord OliverMcMillan. American Cut is delayed because of “design and construction changes that have been made to the Spanx headquarters offices which are located in the same building,” according to an earlier report from BuckheadView.
An estimated $3,000,000 will be spent building out the 18,720-square-foot steakhouse at Buckhead Atlanta, occupying three levels at the corner of Peachtree and Pharr roads.
American Cut has a flagship location in Tribeca and a restaurant at Revel Casino in Atlantic City that is “temporarily closed” until the casino reopens.
American Cut was not immediately available to comment on when the steakhouse will open its doors.

An 18,720 sf Steakhouse? Wow!
I’m pretty sure that Revel is not “temporarily closed,” but forever gone. It shuttered the first weekend of September and the building is currently in the process of being purchased by the company behind the Hard Rock Casinos. The building may very well be re-opened as a casino, but chances are the restaurants that operated inside Revel will no longer be part of the establishment.
