Atlantic Station Will Fulfill Its Destiny June 11

American Apparel is stopping by Atlantic Station and bringing tons of merchandise and deals for their first ever, flea market.

Making this their only destination in the south, it makes sense that Atlantic Station is hosting considering it thrives on these types of events — thousands of garments available at discounts, upwards of 85% off, with prices starting at $1.

The 75,000 square foot sales floor will constantly be replenished and turned over — so being an early bird gets you nothing!

It seems that Atlantic Station has hit puberty and is well on its way to adult hood (fitting into it’s jeans, if you will). Understanding the consumer, flea markets are perfectly inline with the who’s who of Atlantic Station (and hey, American Apparel, don’t take this wrong cause you guys are the bomb, minus the explosion). Even the over critical (pahlease) here at the what now, atlanta? headquarters won’t pass on a shopportunity, and we will be checking out the event, FYI.

The deets:

The American Apparel Flea Market will take place at Atlantic Station, 20th & Fowler. The event begins on Friday, June 11th (10:00am – 8:00pm) and continues through Saturday, June 12th (10:00am – 8:00pm). Admission is free and the only forms of payment that are not accepted include IOU’s and checks (no paper = environmentally conscience?).

Check out American Apparel’s Facebook page. If you RSVP to their event, you’ll receive updates, tips, and potentially ways to skip the line. They’re also taking requests on what clothing you would like to see at the event. You can post favorite American Apparel styles to the event wall and they might end up at Atlantic Station.

  1. I see you’re still clinging to your stupid anti Atlantic Station bias.

You can have your cheesy strip centers and boring malls while I and many others continue to enjoy one of the few shopping areas in Atlanta with ANY sense of place.

  2. Atlantic station has a sense of ‘place’? Really? I remember first going there when they opened and thinking man, this place is as cheesy as it gets. Every little duplex home looks exactly the same, the fake brick-stucco exteriors. Talk about hokey…
