The Dallas, Texas-based franchise is owned by brothers Alex and Roy Patel and run by their nephew AJ Patel, the store’s general manager.

The family, who’s had dealing with Dunkin Donuts, Subway, and owns Twisted Tavern in Buford, G.A., has a five-unit franchise deal with Which Wich.

“The Which Wich brand pops and offers superior sandwiches like the tagline states,” AJ Patel told What Now Atlanta in an in-person interview Monday.

The Alta Midtown location is the second Which Wich for the Patels. The family’s first store opened on Howell Mill Road earlier this year and a third is planned to open in the Kennesaw Marketplace quarter one of 2017.

While the Patels identify real estate for their fourth and fifth stores – possibly in Decatur and near the new Cobb County Braves Stadium – there’s a strategy to leverage one store to support another. For example, the proximity of the Alta Midtown store and the one of the Westside allow for sharing staff and resources as needed.

“If we run out of an item at one store, we can easily grab it from another.”

Which Wich Alta Midtown plans to open 10 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday.

For now.

“If we’re slammed at 8 o’clock on Sunday, we’ll gladly keep the restaurant open until 10 p.m. or later as needed.”

Babalu Tacos & Tapas, Dancing Goats Coffee Bar, Molana, and Solidcore, should join Which Wich at the Midtown multifamily project later this year, early next.
