“What appealed to me is how much the health and fitness industry is growing year after year, in particular how the boutique fitness industry is growing,” Punjani shared during a phone interview with What Now Atlanta. “It was very enticing to bring it to Alpharetta.”

Mayweather Boxing and Fitness is known for its high-intensity group fitness setting and aims to offer an authentic experience for those looking to learn from Mayweather’s training regimens. The class-based fitness center offers 45 minute classes during the week, with longer classes scheduled for weekends.

You can find monthly memberships as well as per-class pricing, so you don’t have to go all in at once, if you’re a little shy of boxing. That said, we’re sure you’ll want to return.

“These classes, every week, are based on one of Floyd Mayweather’s undefeated fights. He is 50-0 and we use a fight from his career as our curriculum for each class,” Punjani explained. “The best thing is, it doesn’t require the students to be experienced in boxing.” You can learn the techniques at the center and use the classes to hone your skills.

Punjani began his career as a restaurateur and currently operates three restaurants between Atlanta and Alpharetta, as well as 6+ smoke shops.

“It’s very much a passion-play to tap into the fitness industry and be a part of this journey,” Punjani added. He has plans to open at least two more locations within the next year.

Look for a mid-February grand opening of the Alpharetta location, and find Mayweather Boxing and Fitness online to learn more.
