AG Opens Holiday Pop-Up Store in Phipps Plaza

Premium denim and knitwear house is offering curbside and in-store pickup, virtual shop via FaceTime and video streaming, and scheduled shopping by appointment with the store's stylists

Premium denim and knitwear house AG on Friday, November 13 opened a Phipps Plaza pop-up, according to a press release. The Buckhead storefront is the eighteenth location for the company in the U.S. The 2,000-square-foot retail space in the Buckhead mall, at 3500 Peachtree Rd NE, houses over 300 styles for men and women including AG’s fall 2020 collection and the brand’s “Made In Italy Capsule.” This collection is “rooted in authentic Italian craftsmanship — bringing the finest, most luxurious sweaters and outerwear to the streets of the Atlanta fashion scene,” according to the release.

AG is collaborating with George F. Baker, colloquially known as GFB3, an Atlanta-based illustrator and muralist, to create a limited-edition commemorative tote that shoppers will receive with an in-store purchase.

“While this year has widely affected the retail and e-commerce ether, this pop-up comes at a time when people are eager to explore the retail space once more and begin shopping for the holidays, allowing opportunity and the experience for shoppers to get well-acquainted with their favorite brands once again,” according to the release.

“We understand that the consumer journey of today and tomorrow has multiple touchpoints, and we are excited to expand on our physical retail presence in the city of Atlanta which is full of denim enthusiasts — many of which are already familiar with the brand,” Sid Dey, vice president of retail at AG, said in the release. AG is offering curbside and in-store pickup, virtual shopping via FaceTime and video streaming, and scheduled shopping by appointment with the store’s stylists.

AG is headquartered and vertically operated in Los Angeles. In addition to the holiday pop-up in Atlanta, the company has plans to open a new location in New York City in spring 2021, marking AG’s fourth store in the City, joining current locations in SOHO, Hudson yards, and the Upper West Side.
