The new 60-unit multifamily development will be located on a vacant 2.38 acre of land at 1991 MLK Jr Drive. The units, spread over four 2-level and 3-level wood-framed buildings, are identified as buildings A, B, C, and D and comprise a total of 79,818 square feet.

Buildings A and B each contain twenty-four units consisting of one to three-bedroom units. In addition, the townhome-style complex, identified as Building C, will include eight multi-floor 3-bedroom units and eight one-stall vehicle garages. Building D comprises two levels, with the first level containing community spaces and a leasing office. The second level has four-1 bedroom apartment units.

As reported in July by What Now Atlanta, the Residences at Westview affordable monthly rents are set for households earning between 50 percent and 60 percent of area median income. According to City documents, rents are expected to be as low as $747 for one-bedroom units and up to $1,243 for three-bedroom units. In March, What Now Atlanta announced that the development had been awarded federal and state grants to help offset the $7.2 million building construction cost as identified in City permits.

Earlier this year, the development received approval to rezone the property from MRC-1-C and C-1 to Mixed Residential-commercial (MRC-1).

The residential development is anticipated to be complete by the Spring of 2023.
