“A new era,” the restaurant posted to Instagram last week. “Over the years 8ARM has been blessed with a beautiful rainbow of immensely creative and talented people, from a variety of backgrounds and identities. There is no finer example than our outgoing chef Maricela Vega.”

On its website, it announced it would be closed for “renovations and training” through May 3.

The restaurant, bar, and wine bar with catering and an event space for up to 120 people, is divided into four spaces which include the main dining room, the 8ARM upper-level wine bar, a cocktail bar, and Sidepiece, its outdoor kitchen.

Eater Atlanta reports that Ginya Izakaya Chef Hiro Endo will be the new executive chef of the restaurant as the new menu becomes more Japanese-focused.

Found on Ponce De Leon Avenue, 8ARM is next to Ponce City Market and the Midtown Place Shopping Mall.
