On March 26, alongside a picture of its predecessor MuLan, a 26 Thai Facebook poster asked, “Do you think we could revive this place?!”

The transformation of the homestyle eatery was documented on Facebook in the subsequent months, following estimations of a Summer 2019 opening.

First, there was the signage replacement in April, and then, in September, a bold paint update contrasted with white accents and an opened-up wrap-around porch, free of the trellis of the former restaurant.

Owner Niki Pattharakositkul named the Thai eateries after a milestone.

“I was at the age of 26 when I finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of opening my own restaurant – simple as that!”

Like her Lindbergh flagship, the Midtown iteration will serve Thai cuisine with a modern spin, alongside a wide selection of Asian-fusion inspired creative cocktails.

The official grand opening date will be later in December.
