Atlanta-based Willy’s Mexicana Grill has plans to temporarily shutter its West Paces Ferry Shopping Center location.

The quick-service restaurant know for its made-to-order burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta to remodel the eatery’s interior.

Construction on Willy’s, at 1228 West Paces Ferry Road NW, could begin as early as this week, one of the store’s managers told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Monday.

An estimated $100,000 will be spent renovating the 2,160-square-foot Buckhead restaurant.

Willy’s north Buckhead store, at 4377 Roswell Road, temporarily shuttered May 22 and will reopen Tuesday, May 26.

Willy’s has been remodeling some of its older stores over the past few years including in Midtown, Downtown, Hapeville, Norcross, and Dunwoody, according to the restaurant’s website.

Corporate Willy’s was not immediately available for comment.
