Breakfast joint files plans for restaurant in One 12 Courtland building.
Waffle House could open its newest metro-Atlanta location downtown on Courtland Street.
The Norcross-based breakfast joint Friday filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta to make commercial alterations to space in the One 12 Courtland apartment building, at 112 Courtland Street.
The breakfast all-day eatery would spend an estimated $265,000 to “up-fit” the 2,560-square-foot “prototypical Waffle House,” according to the application.
Waffle House would be situated in suite A in a newly vacant space on the apartment building’s ground level.
In related news, the breakfast joint is in the process of opening a new location in West Midtown on land formerly occupied by a used car dealership.

Wow, they are springing up all over downtown. Underground, Centennial Park, Marietta Street, GSU and now One 12! They have more locations than starbucks!
