The Suzuki School, founded in 1976, is one of the oldest private preschools in the Southeastern United States.

“Ponce City Market is designed to be a well rounded community asset, a cultural and economic focal point for the surrounding neighborhoods,” Michael Phillips, COO of Jamestown, said in the release.

“We are committed to creating a progressive, family-friendly environment at Ponce City Market, and The Suzuki School is a pivotal first step in that direction.”

Scheduled to open at Ponce City Market in fall 2014, the SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) accredited preschool has campuses in Buckhead and on Northside Drive and will reside in approximately 20,000 square feet of the two-story building that currently houses the Ponce City Market marketing center and Dancing Goats Coffee Bar.

There will be a dedicated, covered drop-off point for the school inside the building. The school accepts children from three months through five years of age.

Ponce City Market will offer 441,000 square feet of office space when the building is complete in 2014, as well as over 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and 259 residential units.

Dancing Goats Coffee Bar, owned by Batdorf & Bronson, was the first retail operation to open in the massive redevelopment in August 2012.

  1. glad to hear this… I am not in the market for preschools but I hear from parents who are that the waitlists for preschools in this city are crazy.

Additionally, PCM mentioned in a facebook post the other day that Anne Quatrano will be a tenant! Can’t think of anybody better to have… any details on that?
