The urban market Wednesday filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta for commercial alterations to 988 Peachtree Street NE for Savi’s newest location.

The corner space in Historic Commercial Row adjacent the Margaret Mitchel House, was formerly occupied by Atlanta-based design firm Son and Sons.

Savi, founded in 2009, has markets in Inman Park, Brookhaven, and Buckhead. Paul Nair, Savi’s founder and CEO, was not immediately available for comment.

  1. This is great news! On Wednesday I was at the Inman Park location and told the boyfriend it sure would be nice to have one of these in Midtown (we also want a Dean and Deluca) and today this article appears. Very exciting especially since I live across the street!

  2. Dear Savi,
Please open a store in East Atlanta. You might not think you’d find customers here, but you’d be surprised. The demand is there. I think you would put the sleazy East Atlanta Supermarket out of business in no time.

    Sincerely,
    An Eastsider with refined tastes

  3. Great to have them in midtown… just seems like an odd location choice. hard to park around the Madge House, but maybe they’ll have a lot? There’s much available space in a building like SkyHouse South, and we need something over by that residential area. still great that we have that as an option.
