The two-story building located between Bistro Niko and The Brand Banking Co, would be anchored by TD Ameritrade, based in Omaha, Neb., and Regent Partners, a large U.S. online broker, according to Doug Sams with the Atlanta Business Chronicle (ABC).

The project, which consists of a second phase (the construction of a new 150,000-square-foot building) will kicked-off with the demolition of the 60,000-square-foot 3330 Peachtree building, former home of American InterContinental University.

An estimated $3,000,000 will be spent to erect the new 16,504-square-foot two-story office and retail building.

  1. I was just telling someone the other day: “You know the one thing that Buckhead needs? Another development.”

  2. Ohhh…this is great density for the area. Nothing like a 2 story building smack dab in the middle of town. I bet it would have been insanely difficult to find space to lease, rather than build a rinky dink little building, given how tight the Atlanta office market vacancy rate is. Another win for Atlanta.

  3. This will be very close to that new fancy pizza place, Pizza Hut. These office workers can get their fill of wing(z) after a huge business deal goes down!

  4. As Juliea says above developers are rightly cautious at the moment about building massive high-rises that could sit half empty. (A report out just last week said that office vacancy sits at 16% in Buckhead)

This building will definitely be an improvement on the 70’s eyesore it replaced.

And at least it isn’t a parking lot!

  5. Typical mindless Urbanist b*ithing

If you had taken the time to READ you would know that this is just the retail phase of a multi phase project. It will be attached to a 150,000 sf office building. This completed project will give the street of that block a much more urban form something I thought you were in favor of… oh wait you just like b*thching.

  6. Yeah, that was my bad – I skipped over that. It was just somewhat presumed, given that a lot of the development in that area (and the city as a whole) wastes an incredible amount of space with low density buildings, covering wide footprints – Rooms to Go, The entire shopping centers at the NW & SE corner of Peachtree & Piedmont, the clusterfock that is Tower Place, and so on…
