Briza Restaurant which replaced Pacci Ristorante at Midtown’s former Hotel Palomar, is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, according to spokeswoman Mandy Sewell.

Pacci Ristorante closed March 24 as Hotel Palomar underwent changes in management and reopened as a Marriott Renaissance Hotel.

“Although it may seem to be a quick turnaround, Renaissance has been working long and hard to introduce new dining establishments that will continue to build on the culinary success that Pacci achieved,” Sewell said.

And though we don’t quite understand what “urban” Italian food is, Briza’s “emphasis on farm-to-fork cuisine” makes us think there won’t be tables?

Formerly AltoRex, the soon-to-be-named rooftop lounge will open for the season in mid April, according to Sewell.

  1. I hope you have a day job, because you are a terrible researcher.

    Straight from the site

“Don’t worry! The best Italian restaurant in Atlanta hasn’t gone anywhere. Just as Hotel Palomar Atlanta-Midtown has become The Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel, the hotel’s signature restaurant has also undergone a recent “cambio di nome.” What was once Pacci Ristorante is now serving up the same tantalizing Old World Italian specialties under the name Briza. Drop in and give us a try. You’ll be delighted by how little has changed.”

Its going to be the same Pacci menu.

…apparently after that April Fools post it’s just cut and paste, no researching.

  3. I thought it was good information. Who cares if he cut and paste – take the fork out of your butt and chill!

  4. Briza can not use the Pacci menus..the Pacci name and menu are owned by Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants!

I would expect the food to be plain and boring..just like Marriott and Renaissance!

  5. Totally different menu. We stopped in last weekend. Hadn’t heard that Pacci was no longer there. We glanced at the menu and decided to head to Antico Pasta. We might drop in again and actually order something. The chef is apparently a James Beard award winner and has been celebrated in Sonoma.
