Fresh look for 2011

After five years of serving the Midtown community, MetroFresh has a new look, is launching a new breakfast menu, and is making final preparations for their expansion into Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Construction on the new MetroFresh at Atlanta Botanical Garden has begun and is expected to open in March.

Centered around an “Italian deli case,” MetroFresh was renovated over the Christmas holiday, according to Owner, Mitchell Anderson.

“Our little café has seen a lot of traffic since opening five years ago. It was time to get a fresh look,” said Anderson.

New York restaurant designer Wendy Langiulli was tasked with reinventing the space. The new look includes a larger deli display case, prep table, menu boards, table tops, and a more efficient, faster cashier station.

“We worked really hard to find a way to give the staff more room to work and the customers more room to maneuver.”

Their new breakfast, the “Rockstar,” developed by Executive Chef Bryan “Rockstar” Kraatz, is a healthy menu of eggs and whole grains.

The menu includes Egg White Scrambled Egg Sandwich with Spinach and Salsa Fresca, Rockstar’s Breakfast Burrito of the Day, a Breakfast BLT Sandwich, Eggs and Smoked Gouda Grits, as well as Red River Hot Cereal, Yogurt Parfait with Fresh Fruit and Granola, a Gluten Free Muffin and our new MetroFresh blended coffee.

Breakfast will be offered Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. -10 a.m.

There are no updates on Anderson’s newest concept, MitchWich, announced to be scouting several locations a year ago.
