The restaurant is slated to open sometime in the spring or summer of 2014 in the district’s 77 12th building. MAX’s is the sixth new restaurant tenant 12th & Midtown has announced this year.

“MAX’s Wine Dive was hand-selected as the perfect complement to our swiftly growing collection of eclectic restaurant and retail tenants,” Shirley Gouffon, Senior Vice President of Selig Enterprises, co-developer of 12th & Midtown, said in the release.

“MAX’s has received several awards and accolades and we are excited to bring this unique hot spot to midtown.”

The restaurant’s menu features items like: MAX’s famous Southern Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, collard greens and Texas toast; The Fried Egg Sandwich with truffle oil, applewood-smoked bacon, Gruyère, lettuce, tomatoes and garlic black truffle aioli, sandwiched between two pieces of artisan sourdough; MAX ‘n Cheese consisting of cavatappi pasta tossed in truffle cream with provolone, Gruyère and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Max’s Wine Dive will join Tabla, Panera Bread, Taco Diner, Fig Jam and BurgerFi at the Midtown development.

Max’s Wine Dive’s Midtown location will be its first Atlanta restaurant, and its sixth total. The restaurant has five locations in Texas, according to Max’ Wine Dive’s website, but has plans to open eight additional locations around the nation.

The tenant was represented in this transaction by Pat Duffy and Chris Routledge of Colliers International.
