“After careful consideration we have made the difficult decision to close MAX’s Wine Dive in Atlanta. Thank you for being loyal fans and supporting the restaurant over the past 15 months,” the restaurant announced on its Facebook page.

The reason for the closing was not disclosed, and no plans for a different Atlanta-area location have been set for the Houston-based concept owned by restaurant group Lasco Enterprises.

MAX’s Wine Dive opened its only Atlanta location in May 2014 after finding success in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas, and Fort Worth.

The wine bar will continue operations at its now seven locations in Texas and Colorado and had plans to open seven additional locations at the time of the Midtown location’s opening.

Representatives at Lasco Enterprises were not immediately available for comment.
