Shopping center gets massage therapy. So much for retail.
Massage Envy, a nationwide franchise specializing in massage therapy, will open their newest clinic at The District at Howell Mill.
Located at 1801 Howell Mill Road NW, the clinic will occupy suite 560 located in “Shops B” on the side closest to interstate 75, taking 1,305 square feet.
Massage Envy indicated on their building permit which was filed last week, that they would open in space formerly utilized as a restaurant.
“Tenant finishes: convert former restaurant to Massage Envy, minor interior alterations.”
The shopping center, owned by Selig Enterprises, lists the space as “available” in the development’s site plan and there is no indication that a restaurant ever occupied the space.
In fact, Massage Envy will open next to empty space to their right and left, according to that same site plan.
Speaking of the site plan, go over to their website and check it out. It’s interactive: the spaces are click-able and display an array of information. Call us retail geeks, but it’s kind of fun to get a behind the scenes look.

I think it was an italian place-artuzzi’s?- that was there for quite a while.
