A building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta earlier this month to convert a “retail/business space” into the restaurant dubbed Gaja Mokja. The Songs were listed as the project’s “owners.”

In a post on Tim Song’s personal Facebook page earlier this year, the chef confirmed he was working on a permanent restaurant.

“But ya’ll are still opening the concept in the village right?,” Tim Frost, a Facebook friend, inquired to a post about the brother’s pop-up Jook #0 ending its trial-run.

“Yeah dude,” Song replied.

Jook #0, a pop-up based out of Mother, served-up dishes like Korean porridge made with rice, beans, sesame and azuki beans, while Gaja Waffle Shop, a pop-up for one night, dished-out delicacies like Korean fried chicken legs.

Gaja would open in Suite A at 491 Flat Shoals Avenue SE, occupying space formerly belonging to Studio 4 situated in an alley behind Black Owl Tattoo & Art Gallery.

The restaurant’s Instagram page indicates Gaja is “coming soon to EAV.”

The Songs were not immediately available for comment.
