This Inn Close To Being Out
Inn at the Peachtrees, an Inn located downtown, will begin a floor-by-floor remodel the first week of May.
Highlights include the addition of a courtyard, 1000 square foot meeting space and a small bar.
Rajeev Desai, general manager for Inn at the Peachtrees, was excited to announce that all 109 guestrooms, lobby and breakfast area, as well as all other guest areas, will undergo remodel.
“It’s a full top to bottom renovation,” Desai told what now, atlanta?. The guestrooms will get all new carpeting, furniture and bedding. Flat screens will also be added to all of the guestrooms.
New air conditioning units and brand new countertops for the bathroom vanities as well as new fixtures will make the guestrooms feel brand new.
“We are probably one of the only if not the only hotel downtown that will feature a courtyard,” Desai said as he highlighted the “big picture” for the renovation. The courtyard will be perfect for events such as weddings and corporate functions.
The hotel will be in operation during the renovation and renovations will begin with the top floor. There are a total of four guestroom floors.
Crystal Turner, guest service representative, was quick to admit, after only a week on the job that “the hotel needs to be updated.”
The completion of the remodel is expected for September.

Good news — this building is in a good location for benefiting from a re-do. Now if someone could just do something about that gack-nasty mess of a surface parking lot on the back end of the building.
