The “underground hideaway” will begin a week long renovation of installing a new draft system with 22 tap handles, new paint, carpet, patio improvements, stone wall restoration, and an updated menu.

Highland Tap will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 20 with a grand re-opening celebration dubbed “Fire Station #19 Dine Out Benefit” where 20 percent of total sales will be donated to “Atlanta’s Oldest Fire Station to commemorate its shared history with this historic landmark…”

NightCap Food & Spirits, the restaurant group behind Highland Tap, first opened the pub’s doors in 1989. Nighcap also owns and operates Fontaine’s Oyster House, Steamhouse Lounge, Vickery’s Bar & Grill, Vickery’s Shem Creek, and Gene’s Haufbrau.
