The AJC Monday first reported the closure.

“So it is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Grain Spirits and Food will be closing,” according to the social media post.

“Saturday evening will be our last night here in Midtown, so lets make the most of this final weekend and go out with bang!”

Grain was from Billy Streck, the restauranteur behind Cypress Street Pint and Plate and Hampton + Hudson.

The restaurant, at 856 W Peachtree Street NW, first opened its doors in December 2014. No word on why the short-lived concept called its quits this weekend.
