Bet you think her sausage tastes like chicken

UPDATE: ( Dec. 8 ) Flying Biscuit founder and owner of The Porter announce chicken sausage concept location

It’s called Delia’s Chicken Sausage Stand and it’s coming soon to East Atlanta.

Conceived from her love for chicken sausage, Delia Champion has been making hand-crafted chicken sausage for years.

Now carried at several Kroger locations, Champion’s chicken sausage has been noted for not tasting like chicken. Go figure.

“People eat our chicken sausage and they don’t believe that it’s just chicken,” Champion says in the Flying Biscuit Cafe Cookbook.

But you’ll end up like a chicken running around with it’s head cut off trying to find out where it’s opening.

That’s because the only available information is on their Facebook page, which we’ve ‘liked’ before anyone else (that means it was at zero and now it’s at 1) which means we’ve won free chicken sausage for life! Or not.

The page does offer this short description: “Delia Champion, the founder of the Flying Biscuit and Molly Gunn, owner of the Porter Beer Bar team up to serve the best chicken sausage on the planet!”

In 1993, Delia Champion founded Flying Biscuit here in Atlanta which was acquired by Raving Brands in 2006. Let’s hope she doesn’t chicken out and sell to Raving Brands with this concept. You know they’ll choke that chicken!

And when the eggs hatch, we’ll be sure to post those additional details– stay tuned!
