It will replace the now-shuttered East Paces Tavern, a short lived restaurant concept that originally took Abbadabba’s place late last year.

Although information on Aspen is scarce online, What Now Atlanta did stumble across this description in a post on the bar’s Facebook page:

“…Aspen Bartini is a sophisticated upscale bar located in the heart of Buckhead. This sexy, sleek, and sensational piano bar will draw you in for some fun.

Mixed, on the rocks or neat we have affordable premium wine, spirits, beer and signature drinks.

Aspen is the premiere destination for great fun and social gatherings.

Attracting a diverse clientèle, Aspen Bartini is an ideal place to have dinner, grab a cocktail after work, or dance late into the night.

Where beautiful women flock like the salmon of Capistrano.”

Aspen Bartini is slated to open on Nov., 15.

  1. I don’t care if it’s a quote from Dumb & Dumber, it is idiotic to compare women flocking to salmon flocking. And how many 21-25 year old women have even seen Dumb & Dumber?

  2. Leave it to Buckhead to open a new place and plug it with a poor attempt at comedy. Oh, but wait, it’s a “sophisticated” & “upscale” bar in Buckhead – which means it will be populated by a bunch of guys in khakis and polos, croakied sunglasses around their necks, perhaps with an ill-fitted sportcoat if they really want to jazz it up, who are accompanied by well dressed women with more substance in their heels than in their heads.

  3. For those keeping track at home, please add “Comedy” to the neverending list of Urbanist’s areas of expertise…

  4. Well, in Urbanist’s defense, people do dress much nicer at the mall where he hangs out.
And, there is a strict dress code over at Atlantic Station, where he lives the urban-dweller-dream.

  5. “sophisticated upscale bar”

This place must be right next to my “executive” home.. Wait, nah, this is Atlanta. It’s Dolla’ tree that’s next to my world-class 40k condo.

  6. We’ve watched this renovation as we eat lunch at the always-crowded Blue Moon pizza across the street. I hope anybody that opens a bar or restaurant in this neighborhood will steal from Blue Moon’s playbook: good food and good service. It doesn’t seem to matter that the interior is garish or the location is less-than-ideal or the concept is played out as long as the experience is consistently solid.
