The restaurant is taking corner space in the development anchored by Publix, at 2345 Cheshire Bridge Road, Gabe Lee, Hajime’s director of development, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email Tuesday.

“We have retained the expertise of Chef Rick Kim, owner and chef at Umaido Japanese Ramen in Suwanee,” Lee said.

“He will be consulting on the restaurant’s buildout, operational structure, menu, and the Japanese experience that is so explosive in New York and the West Coast.”

A building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta Monday to buildout Hajime. The 2,600-square-foot restaurant, labeled as space “3” in the site plan below, is expected to open November 1.

Stay tuned to Hajime’s website for developments.

  1. God, this redesign sucks. You can’t even see spot 3 in that giant picture you have up top, although you can see it from the main page.

    1. Hi Bun, great feedback, thanks.

For this post, couldn’t agree more. That’s why I’ve added the image into the blog content (I appreciate you bringing this to my attention). Much of our old content (nearly 2K breaking news stories) won’t be formatted correctly for the new site. Moving forward, however, we won’t put site plans in the “featured” area you’re referring to for the very reason you’re rightfully pointing out.

      Best regards,
