Christian Ruffin, the restauranteur behind “Do at The View” (“do” is pronounced “dough”), a pizzeria with iPad menus and other technological features not typically seen in your run-of-the-mill eateries, is behind the Midtown concept.

Signage for Bytes Restaurant this week went up at its corner street-level space in the Square on Fifth apartment complex, adjacent Tiff’s Treats. Construction workers Tuesday could be seen building out the white-box space.

Like Do at The View, Ruffin’s Midtown eatery would be “iPad-Driven,” according to the signage.

After seeking comment for more than a week, Ruffin Tuesday in an email to What Now Atlanta said his Public Relations firm would “reach out.”

A placeholder website has been created for the concept.

  1. People love “Do at the View”, and for good reason. Online experience together with the great food expperience is the way of the future. I can personally say that my visit to that place was one of the most entertaining things to have happened during my visit to Atlanta. I’m not the only one, “Do at the View” has quite a reputation online, which is good:

If the new place is going to be as original and interesting, I can only applaud Christian Ruffin. He clearly knows how to do good business and be creative in how you earn your money.

  2. Sad to hear “Do” has closed because, I was about to plan to spend my 44th birthday jamming to a few cocktails made by my favorite light skin fun energetic bartender on Thurs. 2Nov2017. Bummer!!!!
Well, good thing is “Do”…will be back but, bigger and better in a exciting new area.
Not sure how you can improve, good vibes, great drinks and awesome food but, guess we’ll see when BYTES Restaurant opens.
I’ll be looking forward to my VIP Red Carpet Grand Opening. Can’t wait!!!!!
