Boneheads will soon reopen its Atlantic Station store in the same space the contemporary counter-service chain was located until shuttering late-2010.

A single-unit Boneheads franchisee in Alpharetta on Windward Parkway will bring the restaurant to Midtown early summer, Dominic Colossale, director of operations for the two locations, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Tuesday.

Building permit applications this week were filed with City of Atlanta for the new Boneheads in Atlantic Station. According to the filings, little to no work will be done to the space, at 264 19th Street, most recently occupied by Fishook Grille.

Fishook, opened by the original Boneheads operator in that space, shuttered earlier this year.

Boneheads took to Craigslist late last week posting its hiring needs for cooks and cashiers.

Will Boneheads succeed in space it previously shuttered? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

  1. I always liked the place. I’m not at Atlantic Station so much — and when I am, I’m usually shopping (and eating) at IKEA. But every time I find myself in the shopping/theater part of Atlantic Station, needing to get a meal, I lament that Boneheads is gone.

I did have occasion to shop at Atlantic Station last weekend, and was surprised as how much busier it was than I remembered. I hope Boneheads will thrive on their second attempt.
