Sur La Table spending $700K to take Williams Sonoma’s Phipps Plaza space

Kitchenware retailer files permit to build demonstration kitchen at Buckhead Mall

Sur La Table is opening its newest store at Phipps Plaza mall in Buckhead.

The kitchenware retailer will replace Williams Sonoma in space 1035, at 3500 Peachtree Street, according to a permit filed with City of Atlanta Wednesday.

Sur La Table will spend an estimated $700,000 to renovate its new 6,018-square-foot Buckhead space and add a demonstration kitchen, according to the permit.

The company currently operates over 85 stores nationwide, many with cooking class programs. It has one other Georgia location at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, according to Sur La Table’s website.

The kitchenware retailer was not immediately available for comment.
