Porsche Cars North America Inc. released two new renderings Thursday for its new $100 million headquarters at Aerotropolis, a 130-acre mixed-use development near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The German luxury automaker first announced May 12 plans to move its North American headquarters from Sandy Springs to a 26-acre campus that will include a 150,000-square-foot office tower, in Hapeville.

HOK, an architectural firm that has designed major airports, stadiums and museums, will design the Atlanta HQ.

Wow HOK needs to step their game up. The design isnt bad but the rendering is terrible.

Hope the employee’s bring their lunch. Not much of good eating in Hapeville. Maybe this will spur some new redevelopment in their little downtown strip.

Chris, I live in East Point, not far from Hapeville, and there are plenty of good and decent places to eat in the Tri-Cities area, especially for a lunch crowd.

I completely agree, Deb. The Tri-Cities gets a bad rap from those who don’t know us or who live down here. I grew up in East Point, but my family and I returned to the southside to live in Hapeville eight years ago, and we LOVE it. We have some great places to eat, but hoping Porsche will bring more!

Hapeville is home to Delta HQ and Wells Fargo has a large presence in the area. The Tri-Cities area has so many great Zagat rated restaurants, too many to name. Just to name a few restaurant in the area Willys, Johnny’s Pizza, Thumbs Up, The Original Chick-fil-a, Michons,Thai Heaven, Spondivitis and the list goes on. Plenty of great mom and pop restaurants. Parts of the area remind me the City of Decatur vibe
