Diem Restaurant Group to open new Inman Park eatery

Diem Restaurant Group, the team behind Apres Diem, Carpe Diem, Carroll Street Cafe and Village Pizza Co., is developing a new restaurant concept.

Highly placed sources confirm that Andy Alibaksh, managing partner for Diem Restaurant Group, secured a lease for the former Shaun’s Restaurant space in Inman Park.

Located at 1025 Edgewood Avenue NE, Shaun’s closed last December when owner, Shaun Doty decided his efforts were best spent on his new concept, YEAH! Burger.

Diem Restaurant Group wasted no time in securing their lease. Confident that the space would be leased to another restaurateur sooner than later, Alibaksh took the space without thought to what would open there.

No details are available for the Diem Restaurant Group’s new concept.

    The last couple of times I’ve been at Inman Park Station I’ve seen people moving stuff in/out and today I noticed that they’d painted the trim around the doors and windows. Looks like whatever it is will open pretty soon.
